Please watch my exclusive interview with Jerri Howe and Alex Murphy, both of The Matthews House as they discuss the concept of Community Life Centers, that evolved from the concept of ”Settlement Houses” of mid 19th century England. Here in the United States the most famous being the Hull House established by Jane Addams. But this show is much more than a history lesson, it is an inspirational story as Alex describes his journey from poverty and abuse to self-reliance through determination and hard-work and the involvement of a community that cares about its members. I believe this is the essence of community, when members come together to help each other, great things can happen! We at The Tim Caffrey Show believe that community awareness translates into community involvement, so please, get involved, volunteer, and together we can make Colorado a great place to live for all its citizens!
